This alternative history presents a fictional reconstruction of 80 years of the British Motor Corporation — a theoretical world in which the company did not falter, but evolved, adapted, and endured.

It is an imagined archive built from real engineering limitations, real marques and real events, reshaped into a series of different paths the company might have taken without many of the human failures that beset reality.

Created by an enthusiast and amateur auto historian, this project reflects a 60 year long passion for British motoring heritage and a desire to re imagine a story that, in reality, ended far too soon. It shows some of the cars BMC could have produced, and tells the story of how it could have (and even ‘should have’) started, grown, and survived.

To understand the story, it’s important that you have a read of the Reader’s Guide which is Book 1. Book 2 is a fictional version of some of the events that helped create and shape ‘my new BMC’. The other 4 books cover the cars that could have been….
